RAW or EXTRACT, What is the difference?

This is a very important distinction! It needs to be understood so you use the proper "form" of mushroom powders for your recipes.

Raw powder or chunks

Raw powders and chunks of mushrooms should only be used for making Mushroom TEAS or for extractions. It should NOT be used for smoothies or cold drink recipes. The nutrients in raw mushrooms need to be EXTRACTED first for your body to make use of it.

EXTRACTED  powders

These powders are made from extractions of raw mushrooms. They should have an extraction ratio listed on the package, like 100:1 or 30:1. These powders are usually made by taking mushroom teas and processing them into a powder form. This powder contains the human-absorbable nutrients, unlike raw powders. These extracted powders are ideal for COLD recipes, like smoothies, shakes, and other food recipes.
